The 15-game CAA Football slate in Week 2 includes three games against nationally ranked FCS opponents. Maine travels to #3 Montana State, Campbell heads to #17 Western Carolina and Monmouth hosts #19 Lafayette. In addition to Monmouth, Richmond, Stony Brook, Bryant, Towson and North Carolina A&T play their home openers on Saturday. CAA teams were 6-1 at home in Week 1.
There are three games against FBS opponents in Week 2 as Rhode Island visits Minnesota, UAlbany travels to West Virginia and William & Mary heads to Coastal Carolina. Despite an 0-7 record, CAA teams battled well against FBS teams last week as North Carolina A&T (Wake Forest) and Campbell (Liberty) held 10-7 second-quarter leads, Elon trailed Duke just 3-0 in the final minute of the first half, Stony Brook was down 7-0 to Marshall with five minutes left in the first half and Towson was within 28-20 of Cincinnati in the third quarter.
