Jackson State's Morgan, Hampton Pirates Earn HBCU FCS Football Awards (Week 6) | Opta Analyst
RICHMOND, Va. (October 6, 2025) –
Hampton has been selected as the HBCU FCS National Team of the Week by Stats Perform following its 41-34 victory over rival Norfolk State last Saturday.
The Pirates overcame a 21-10 deficit with a 24-3 run spanning the second and third quarters while beating Norfolk State in the Battle of the Bay rivalry. Quarterback Braden Davis had 266 yards of total offense and both a TD run and pass. Freshman cornerback Andre Jackson Jr. racked up a game-high 12 tackles, including a sack.
Stats Perform also recognized Jackson as an honorable mention selection for HBCU FCS National Player of the Week.
