CAA Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards - Nov. 25

RICHMOND, Va. (November 25, 2025) – After a weekend of record-setting performances in the pool, UNCW’s William Carrico and Towson’s Jed Garner shared CAA men’s swimming weekly honors and UNCW’s Cameron Snowden earned women’s swimming accolades. UNCW’s Ethan Badrian and Towson’s Shannon Parrau received diving recognition.
CAA Men’s Co-Swimmer of the Week
William Carrico, Jr., UNCW (Durham, N.H.)
Carrico captured four individual events at the Fall Frenzy Invitational in Charlotte, N.C. and set meet records in three of them. The junior won the 200 IM in a time of 1:44.69, which is the fastest in the CAA this season, and claimed the 400 IM with a time of 3:46.90, which is also quickest in the conference. His winning time of 1:43.51 in the 200 back was a meet record and he added a first-place effort in the 200 breast (1:56.95).
CAA Men’s Co-Swimmer of the Week
Jed Garner, Jr., Towson (Clarksburg, Md.)
Garner earned gold medals in three individual events and two relays as Towson took home the team title at the Patriot Invitational for the first time. He captured the 100 breast in a time of 52.65, which is the fastest in the CAA, and his winning time of 1:53.19 in the 200 breast is an NCAA cut time that ranks 21
st nationally. He added a win in the 200 IM with a time of 1:45.76. Garner also swam the breast leg for Towson’s 200 and 400 medley relay teams that both set pool records.
CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Cameron Snowden, Sr., UNCW (Santa Clarita, Calif.)
Snowden posted two first-place individual finishes and added a relay victory at the Fall Frenzy Invitational. The senior won the 100 fly and set a meet record in an NCAA-qualifying time of 52.03. She set a school record in the 100 free with a time of 48.78 and placed second in the 50 free with a time of 22.64 that is the fastest in the conference. Snowden was also a member of UNCW’s 400 medley relay team that set a meet record.
CAA Men’s Diver of the Week
Ethan Badrian, Sr., UNCW (Silver Springs, Md.)
Badrian reached the podium on both boards at the Patriot Invitational. The three-time CAA Diver of the Year placed second in the 3-meter competition with a score of 320.05 and finished third in the 1-meter event with a score of 301.05.
CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Shannon Parrau, Sr., Towson (Germantown, Md.)
Parrau swept both boards at the Patriot Invitational to help Towson to a second-place team finish. The senior won the 3-meter competition with a score of 298.80 and claimed the top spot in the 1-meter event with a score of 269.55.
