RICHMOND, Va. (Nov. 5, 2025) – Four teams will hit the field on Thursday for a chance to advance to the 2025 CAA Men’s Soccer Semifinals.

No. 2 Stony Brook (7-4-5, 4-3-1) and No. 3 Monmouth (5-7-3, 2-3-3) will battle in the North Division from LaValle Stadium in Stony Brook, N.Y. No. 2 Campbell (9-5-4, 4-2-2) and No. 3 UNCW (5-8-2, 4-4) will duke it out in the South Division at Eakes Athletics Complex in Buies Creek, N.C.

Both matches will be streamed on FloCollege on Thursday, November 6, at 6 p.m.

Last meeting on October 18, Stony Brook held the edge over Monmouth during the regular season, posting a 1-0-1 record. While the Hawks return to the CAA Championship for the third-straight season, the Seawolves are making their first appearance since 2023 and are hosting for the first time since 2021. The two sides have never faced off with CAA hardware on the line.

The Seawolves had a season for the record books, earning their most wins since 2021. Needing a win to make the tournament, Ryan Anatol’s program registered a 3-0 victory over Northeastern to earn a postseason home game.  Stony Brook ranked as one of the top offenses in the conference, scoring an impressive 1.750 goals per game alongside a CAA-best 2.125 assists per game. Led by the CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year Jamie Orson, Stony Brook registered its most clean sheets since 2017.

Monmouth’s nine points during the regular season were enough to clinch its third-straight appearance in the CAA postseason. All-CAA Second Teamer Jakob Friedman has been the standout for the Hawks with his eight assists ranking second in the conference. Monmouth was impressive to start the season, earning five wins between September 2 and 26, including earning six points in conference play.

UNCW went 2-0 against Campbell, including a 2-1 victory in the Camels' final game of the season. After joining the CAA from the Big South just a couple of years ago, Campbell will make its first CAA Championship appearance in program history. On the other hand, UNCW has one of the richest histories in the tournament and is set to make its 29th appearance.

The Camels earned their most wins since the 2022 season on route to earning the No. 2 seed in the South Division. Campbell secured a conference-high 11 All-CAA selections, with six landing on the first team. Ethan Roberts headlines the group as the squad's leading scorer, ranking third in the CAA with his seven tallies. Dustin Founder’s program ranks second in the South Division, allowing 1.11 goals per game.

UNCW earned a CAA record 29th berth into the postseason tournament, clinching its spot with one game left in the regular season. With the CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year Jake Shannon in its ranks, the Seahawks’ defense has held its opponents scoreless three times this season. Christian Acevedo led from the front, netting a team-high five goals, including a brace against Campbell on October 18.

North Division Champions Hofstra and South Division Champions Elon will await the winners of the quarterfinal matchups. The two No. 1 seeds will host their respective semifinal matchups on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
