RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 10, 2025) – Delaware freshman attacker Bennett Palmer, Stony Brook senior goalie Jamison MacLachlan, and Towson redshirt freshman attacker Ronan Fitzpatrick are the CAA men’s lacrosse weekly award winners for the week ending February 2.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bennett Parmer, Delaware
Freshman | Attack | Lancaster, Pa. Manheim Township
Parmer was superb in his first collegiate game, scoring four goals, including the game winner with less than a minute to go as Delaware upset the No. 19 Utah Utes, 13-12. The freshman attacker’s goal tally led the Blue Hens to their first ranked win since May 5, 2022 in the NCAA Tournament.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jamison MacLachlan, Stony Brook
Senior | Goalie | Syracuse, N.Y. / Jamesville-Dewitt
MacLachlan led Stony Brook from the back in a 9-8 road win over No. 20 Rutgers. The senior shot-stopper made 13 saves, including six in the second half to earn the Seawolves their first ranked victory since Mar. 27, 2021. MacLachlan posted a .619 save percentage in the contest and was pivotal down the stretch restricting Rutgers to two goals in the final 30 minutes of action.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ronan Fitzpatrick, Towson
Redshirt Freshman | Attack | Sayville, N.Y. / Sayville H.S.
Fitzpatrick came out firing in his first game of the season, scoring five against No. 8 Johns Hopkins. The attacker led all players with his goal tally and became the first Towson freshman to score five goals in a game since April 13, 2024. Fitzpatrick’s performance is also the first 5+ goal performance for the Tigers against Johns Hopkins since 2019.
