Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Kristen Redding, Hofstra
Sophomore | Attacker | Forked River, N.J.
Redding helped Hofstra to an 11-6 win over reigning NEC Champion LIU with a four-goal effort and firing five of her six shot attempts on frame. The Forked River, N.J., product found the back of the net with 6:08 remaining in the first quarter. After being held scoreless in the second stanza, Redding unloaded a hat trick in the third quarter alone, scoring all three goals in a span of 1:39 to give Hofstra a lead they would not relinquish.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Kate Draddy, William & Mary
Junior | Midfielder | Charlotte, N.C.
Draddy was vital to the Tribe’s 13-11 win over reigning ASUN Champion Coastal Carolina with three goals and six draw controls. The junior midfielder put William & Mary ahead, 3-1, less than five minutes into the contest with her first goal of the season. She eventually bumped the lead to three before the end of the first frame with another tally to her credit. Draddy put the game out of reach in the fourth, securing her hat trick with an eventual game-winning snipe with 6:36 to play. Draddy shot at a 75.0 percent efficiency, scoring on three of her four shot attempts in the game.
Defensive Player of the Week
Marin Wilhelm, William & Mary
Junior | Goalie | Parkton, Md.
Wilhelm was vital to the Tribe’s two-goal victory over Coastal Carolina, notching 13 saves for a .542 save percentage and corralling three ground balls in the win over projected ASUN champions. The junior goalie made five saves in the final quarter, including one from a free position with under two minutes remaining to preserve the lead. Her first win of the season also marked the first victory under the direction of Head Coach Kelyn Freedman.
Rookie of the Week
