CAA Swimming & Diving Weekly Awards - Feb. 11

RICHMOND, Va. (February 11, 2025) – Drexel sophomore Kaan Akdag was selected as the CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while Northeastern swept the women’s awards with sophomore May Bradburn receiving CAA Swimmer of the Week and freshman Alison Kolman named the CAA Diver of the Week.
 
CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Kaan Akdag, So., Drexel (Ankara, Turkey)
Akdag posted a pair of individual victories to help lead Drexel to a 179-78 team victory at Monmouth. The sophomore captured the 1000 free with a season-best time of 9:36.25, which ranks seventh in the CAA this season. He also took the top spot in the 500 free with a time of 4:37.96.

CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
May Bradburn, So., Northeastern (Chelmsford, England)
Bradburn set a new personal best and turned in a first place performance in the 200 free as Northeastern closed the regular season at the Boston Winter Open. The sophomore posted a winning time of 1:50.50, which is the ninth-best in the CAA this season.

CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Alison Kolman, Fr., Northeastern (Norwalk, Conn.)
Kolman recorded personal best scores on both boards at the Northeastern Diving Invitational. The freshman compiled a score of 233.65 in the 1-meter competition and a score of 226.5 in the 3-meter competition.
