Drexel 64, Charleston 55

Kobe MaGee registered four of the team’s nine treys en route to a 19-point effort as Drexel (15-14, 7-9 CAA) secured a 64-55 win over Charleston (21-8, 11-5 CAA). Jason Drake and Cole Hargrove chipped in 12 and 11 points, respectively.
After a quick five points from Charleston to open the contest, Drexel unleashed 16 unanswered points, including four straight makes from distance from Butler, Drake and a pair from MaGee, to secure an 11-point lead at 10:39. The Cougars fought back and pulled to within one, 18-17, as CJ Fulton and Deywilk Tavarez knocked down consecutive treys before a Lazar Djokovic slammed home an alley-oop with 5:15 remaining in the first. Drexel took a 30-21 lead into the break after utilizing another slew of triples before the horn, including another set of three straight makes from deep with two made by MaGee. The Dragons continued to add to their lead as they opened the second stanza with a 12-2 run to go up by 19 just 3:10 into the frame. Drexel had a response for Charleston for the majority of the second half, maintaining a double-digit lead until back-to-back treys from Fulton and Justas Stonkus capped off a late 8-0 run to make it a seven-point game with 45 seconds to go. MaGee hit a pair of free throws to hold on for a 64-55 victory. The Dragons held the Cougars to a season-low in scoring. Charleston’s Brzovic finished with a team-best 16 points.
N.C. A&T 73, Stony Brook 72

Bryson Ogletree drained a game-winning free throw with under one second remaining in the game to lift N.C. A&T (7-22, 3-13 CAA) to a 73-72 win over Stony Brook (6-22, 2-13 CAA). The sophomore guard finished with 19 points with four of his five makes coming from distance to go with five boards. Jahnathan Lamothe chipped in 23 points and Nikolaos Chitikoudis added 14 of his own, while both secured double-doubles with 11 rebounds apiece. Camian Shell registered 15 points and five assists in the win.
Stony Brook took an early five-point lead, 16-11, after an Andre Snoddy layup and a triple from Nick Woodard at 10:36. After the Aggies tied the game with an Ogletree triple, Woodard rattled off six straight points to claim a 26-20 lead with under seven minutes to play. Shell worked A&T’s deficit back to one with a personal five-point spurt shortly after. Stony Brook maintained a five-point lead, 38-33, heading into the break as a pair of Leon Nahar triples down the stretch were balanced by Aggies’ Lamothe, who scored the final eight points. N.C. A&T took a three-point lead, 44-41, as Ogletree hit a trey before eight straight points at the rim from Chitikoudis with 16:35 remaining. Ogletree continued to build the Aggies’ lead to double digits, 57-46, as the sharpshooter knocked down two more treys and a pair of free throws on the team’s 13-2 run. CJ Luster slashed the Seawolves’ deficit down one, 66-65, as the junior guard rattled off 16 points on the team’s 17-7 run with 5:38 left in regulation. Stony Brook tied the game at 72 after Snoddy sank a triple from the wing with 52 seconds on the clock. Ogletree drew contact on the game’s final shot and earned two free throws, sinking the front end and earning the one-point victory. Stony Brook’s Luster finished with 23 points, while Snoddy notched a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double with three blocks.
Towson 76, Campbell 67

Christian May led four players in double figures with a season-high 21 points with five of his seven makes coming from behind the arc as Towson (19-10, 14-2 CAA) earned a 76-67 win over Campbell (15-14, 10-6 CAA). Tyler Tejada chipped in 17 points with a pair of triples, while Nendah Tarke produced a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double in the road win. Dylan Williamson tacked on 13 points to round out those with double-digit scoring.
Towson and Campbell saw nine ties in the first half as neither team led by more than five points. The Tigers’ Christian May knocked down his first four treys, part of a 14-point opening stanza. The Camels saw balanced scoring with seven different scorers, including four with five or more points. Both teams went into the intermission deadlocked at 38 after Campbell’s Nolan Dorsey sank a triple before time expired. The two squads traded blows to open the second half before Tarke scored five straight points to jumpstart an 11-4 run to take a 53-44 lead with 13:07 remaining. Colby Duggan helped Campbell erase the nine-point deficit with five straight points, part of the team’s 13-4 stretch capped off by an Elijah Walsh triple at 8:22. It was all Towson down the stretch, closing the game on a 17-8 run to secure a nine-point win. Campbell’s Dorsey finished with a team-best 16 points, nine boards and four assists. Duggan also finished in double figures with 10 of his 12 points coming at the line.
Hampton 83, UNCW 70

Wayne Bristol Jr. and George Beale Jr. registered 20 points apiece and combined for 10 of the team’s 15 treys as Hampton (15-13, 7-8 CAA) earned an 83-70 victory over UNCW (21-7, 11-4 CAA). Noah Farrakhan chipped 15 points with three of his four makes coming from distance to go with six assists.
Neither team led by more than four until a Wayne Bristol Jr. trey at 12:49 put the Pirates ahead, 16-10. UNCW worked its way back to a one-possession game after a quick 7-2 spurt. However, Bristol and Etienne Strothers went back-to-back from behind the arc to bump Hampton’s lead to seven, 24-17, at the midway point. The Pirates continued to build on their advantage as they closed the frame on a 16-2 run, seeing Xzavier Long knock down a fadeaway jumper with less than two seconds remaining and taking a 17-point lead, 43-26 into the intermission. The two teams battled defensively through the first three minutes until a Donovan Newby triple sparked nine unanswered points for UNCW to slash the deficit to eight, 46-38, with under 15 minutes to play. However, the Pirates knocked down four 3-pointers over the next 2:20, evenly split between Farrakhan and Beale Jr. to reclaim a 16-point advantage, 58-42. Hampton knocked down 12 triples in the contest and held on for a double-digit victory.
Hofstra 78, Delaware 65

Hofstra (13-16, 5-11 CAA) registered 13 3-pointers, including six from Cruz Davis en route to a 28-point showing as the Pride secured a 78-65 road win over Delaware (12-17, 5-11 CAA). The sophomore guard went 11-for-20 from the floor with five boards and four assists. Khalil Farmer notched 19 points, seven boards and three assists in a 40-minute effort.
The Pride jumped out to a 22-9 lead as Davis knocked down a pair of triples in the opening 8:27 of the game. Following back-to-back finishes from Delaware’s Izaiah Pasha to bring the Blue Hens to within seven, Hofstra’s Farmer finished in the lane to cap off eight unanswered points to reclaim a 15-point edge, 32-17, with 7:19 remaining in the first. Delaware surged to end the frame as Macon Emory and John Camden sank consecutive triples before Pasha finished at the rim twice in the final three minutes to close a 16-2 run that slashed the Hens’ deficit to one, 34-33, at the break. Hofstra hit four 3-pointers to open the second half, seeing three come off of Farmer’s hands. Davis drained the team’s fifth of the half at 13:38 to give Hofstra a 12-point lead, 53-41. Delaware fought back to as few as four down the stretch, but the Pride scored seven unanswered points to end the game and secured a 13-point victory. Niels Lane produced a 24-point, 10-rebound double-double for the Blue Hens, while Pasha finished with 12 points.
William & Mary 79, Elon 70

Gabe Dorsey’s seven treys and 21 points lifted William & Mary (17-11, 11-4 CAA) to a 79-70 victory over Elon (17-12, 8-8 CAA). Kyle Pulliam and Caleb Dorsey chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively, while Chase Lowe added 10 points. The Tribe registered 14 3-pointers in the winning effort.
Six of the first eight makes from the floor by William & Mary came from behind the arc. However, it was Elon that jumped out to a 26-19 advantage after TK Simpkins hit a jumper in transition to finish off a 7-0 run at 8:58. Dorsey hit his third triple of the half with just over a minute later, sparking 23-2 run to put the Tribe ahead by double-digits, 46-31, at intermission. Similar to the first half, W&M came out firing from distance, with its first three makes coming from behind the arc to take a 55-35 lead at 16:50. Elon slowly worked its way back into the contest with a 14-4 run, seeing Simpkins factor in eight of those points to bring the Phoenix within seven, 70-63, with 4:03 to play. The Tribe pulled away down the stretch and secured a nine-point victory. Simpkins finished with a game-high 30 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the floor with a trio of triples for Elon. Teammate Sam Sherry also posted 19 points and eight boards.
