CAA Announces Rookie Swimmers And Divers Of The Month For January

RICHMOND, Va. (February 4, 2025) – The CAA has announced its CAA Men’s and Women’s Rookie Swimmers and Divers of the Month, honoring top performances from freshmen during competition in January.
CAA MEN’S ROOKIE SWIMMER OF THE MONTH
Bartosz Loter, Drexel (Cieszyn, Poland)
Loter recorded a pair of first place individual finishes and was a member of three winning relay teams during January. In a meet against Towson, the freshman took the top spot in the 100 breast with a time of 56.71 and the 200 breast with a time of 2:05.71. He bettered his time in the 100 breast (55.27) vs. Villanova and placed second. Loter was part of the Dragons’ first place 200 medley relay teams against Delaware and Towson and was a member of a winning 400 medley relay team against Villanova.
CAA WOMEN’S ROOKIE SWIMMER OF THE MONTH
Emilie Mosner, Monmouth (Lititz, Pa.)
Mosner posted four first place individual finishes across three events and added a relay win in Monmouth’s two January competitions. Against Saint Peter’s, she captured the top spot in the 100 breast with a time of 1:05.58 and the 200 breast with a time of 2:21.57, while contributing to the Hawks’ winning 200 medley relay team. In a meet vs. Stony Brook, Mosner won the 200 IM with a personal best time of 2:12.33 and was a just second off the school record in the 100 breast with a first place time of 1:04.44. She added a runner-up effort in the 400 medley relay.
CAA WOMEN’S ROOKIE DIVER OF THE MONTH
Natalia Chornomidza, Stony Brook (Lindenhurst, N.Y.)
Chornomidza repeats as Rookie Diver of the Month after reaching the podium three times over two events. Against Monmouth, she finished second on the 3-meter board with a score of 262.45 and third on the 1-meter board with a score of 223.95. The freshman added a third-place finish in the 3-meter competition against Northeastern with a score of 245.25.
