Avery Hines captured Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, while their Seawolves teammate
Julia Fusco and Elon’s
Lillian Austin split Rookie of the Week recognition on Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week
Charlotte Wilmoth, Stony Brook
Graduate Student | Attacker | South Salem, N.Y.
Wilmoth dominated offensively for the Seawolves, rolling past Vermont and William & Mary in a 2-0 week. The graduate transfer totaled 12 points on 10 goals and a pair of assists, while adding two ground balls and one caused turnover. Against the Catamounts, she notched a team-high five goals and one assist to lead the Stony Brook squad to a 20-5 victory. The New York product registered and identical stat line against the Tribe to go with a pair of ground balls and one caused turnover against the Tribe.
Defensive Player of the Week
Avery Hines, Stony Brook
Senior | Defender | Mount Airy, Md.
Hines anchored a strong defensive effort as the Stony Brook squad notched a pair of double-digit victories. She collected a team-high five caused turnovers against Vermont to reach 100 career caused turnovers, becoming the fifth player in program history to achieve this milestone. She also added four ground balls in the Seawolves’ 20-5 win over the Catamounts. She collected three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers to close out the week, while the Stony Brook defense held William & Mary to just three goals.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Julia Fusco, Stony Brook
Freshman | Midfield | Bayport, N.Y.
Fusco racked up five points on three goals and two assists in a pair of Stony Brook wins last week. The rookie midfielder notched an assist against Vermont before tallying a career-high three goals along with one assist in the Seawolves’ 20-3 victory over William & Mary to start 3-0 in CAA play.

Lillian Austin, Elon
Freshman | Attacker | Topsail Beach, N.C.
Austin produced her first career hat trick, scoring three goals in Elon's 13-10 win over Campbell to improve to 3-0 in the CAA and win its seventh straight league game dating back to last year. Austin entered the Campbell game with just five goals on the season but scored a goal in each of the final three quarters as the Phoenix built an 8-1 lead and then held off a Camels rally in the fourth.
