The two-time CAA Golfer of the Year shined at the Puerto Rico Open, held at the Grand Reserve Country Club, shooting a 19-under in the four-round competition en route to a tie for fourth in the standings. Two weeks later, Van Wyk found himself in the mix at the Valspar Championship at the Innisbrook Golf and Spa Resort in Florida.
Van Wyk is ranked 17
th nationally among NCAA Division I golfers, according to Scoreboard. With two individual wins, four top-three finishes and averaging a 68.5 scoring average this year, the senior from Ruimsig, South Africa has his sights set on defending his individual CAA Championship when the postseason slate opens on April 20.
