CAA Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards – April 28, 2025

RICHMOND, Va. (April 28, 2025) – Drexel’s Allison Drake earned CAA Offensive Player of the Week following a 10-goal week, while Stony Brook’s Avery Hines and William & Mary’s Molly Delaney secured Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, on Monday.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Allison Drake, Drexel
Graduate Student | Attacker | Easton, Pa.
Drake scored a combined 10 goals against Temple and Elon last week, eclipsing the 50-goal mark for the season. Nine of her 10 goals last week were unassisted. The Easton, Pa., product unloaded six goals against cross-city rival Temple in the midweek 17-13 win. She also produced a season-best nine shots on goal in the victory. Drake followed up with four more goals in the team’s 16-7 triumph over Elon in the season finale.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Avery Hines, Stony Brook
Senior | Defender | Mount Airy, Md.
Hines concluded the regular season with a dominant defensive performance for the No. 20 Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team. The senior defender collected a team-high four caused turnovers and three ground balls in a 15-5 victory over Hofstra. The Mount Airy, Md., native also held the CAA’s top scorer Nikki Mennella to just two goals in the outing, tying the fewest in a CAA contest this season.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Molly Delaney, William & Mary
Redshirt Freshman | Defender | Garnet Valley, Pa.
Delaney finished the week with a team-high six caused turnovers to go with two ground balls in a split week against East Carolina and Campbell. The Garnet Valley, Pa., product posted a team-high four caused turnovers with a ground ball in the win against Campbell. She also recorded two caused turnovers with a ground ball in a one-goal setback to ECU.
