RICHMOND, Va. (May 20, 2025) – Two of the league’s top offensive performers – Northeastern junior outfielder Harrison Feinberg and William & Mary graduate outfielder Ben Parker – shared 2025 CAA Baseball Player of the Year honors, while UNCW senior right-hander Zane Taylor was selected as the CAA Pitcher of the Year as the conference announced its post-season award winners on Tuesday.

Other top honors went to UNCW freshman pitcher Cam Bagwell as CAA Rookie of the Year, Stony Brook sophomore first baseman Erik Paulsen as CAA Defensive Player of the Year and Northeastern’s Mike Glavine as CAA Coach of the Year.

Feinberg ranked among the CAA’s top 10 in nine different offensive categories, batting .372 with 14 homers, 57 runs scored, 57 RBI’s and 35 stolen bases. He was fourth in the league in batting, third in homers and RBI’s, sixth in runs and second in steals. The outfielder was even better in CAA play, where he hit a league-best .412 and drove in 38.

Parker topped the CAA and ranked 11th nationally with a .413 batting average. His 93 hits are the third-most in Division I and he’s seventh in the nation with 23 doubles. The outfielder added 11 homers, 50 RBI’s and 70 runs scored while sporting a league-best .502 on base percentage. Parker tied a CAA record this season with a 34-game hitting streak.

Taylor went 10-2 on the mound with a 2.16 ERA and a CAA-best 91 strikeouts over 87.2 innings. He leads the nation in WHIP (0.79) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (9.10), is tied for 4th in wins and ranks 8th in ERA. Opponents batted only .187 off the right-hander, who threw 7.0 or more innings in his final five starts and only gave up four total runs in that stretch.

Bagwell had a sensational rookie campaign, posting a 9-2 record with a 3.01 ERA in 14 starts. His nine wins were tied for the most of any freshman in the country and he ranked fifth in the CAA in ERA. The right-hander fanned 59 and only walked 14 over 80.2 innings. On March 23, he threw the first perfect game in CAA history against Campbell.

Paulsen was a vacuum at first base for Stony Brook, committing only two errors in 426 chances for a .995 fielding percentage. He was part of 41 double plays and helped the Seawolves post a solid .972 fielding percentage. In CAA play, Paulsen had no errors in 221 chances. The sophomore also batted .358 with nine homers and 44 RBI’s.

Glavine received CAA Coach of the Year accolades for the fifth time in the past nine years. The Huskies led the nation in wins with a sparkling 45-9 record, which is the most regular-season victories in league history, and they are currently riding a program-record 24-game win streak. NU claimed the CAA regular-season title with a program-best 25-2 record, which included wins in its final 18 contests.

Northeastern had six players selected to the All-CAA first team as Feinberg was joined by infielder Jack Goodman, outfielder Cam Maldonado, starting pitchers Aiven Cabral and Will Jones and closer Charlie Walker. UNCW had three first-team honorees with Taylor, infielder Tanner Thach and reliever Trace Baker, while Stony Brook was represented by Paulsen and designated hitter Nico Azpilcueta.

Six other teams had one player earn first-team All-CAA accolades with William & Mary’s Parker, Towson catcher Brian Heckelman, Campbell infielder Joey Morton, Hofstra infielder Dylan Palmer, Delaware outfielder Aaron Graeber and Elon infielder/pitcher Ryan Sprock.

The 2025 CAA Baseball Championship gets underway on Wednesday from the Ballpark at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, S.C.  Six teams will battle for the league title and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament in the double-elimination event.
