Bracket Set for 2025 CAA Softball Championship

RICHMOND, Va. – The field is set for the 2025 CAA Softball Championship as Delaware earned the regular season crown and the No. 1 seed in the postseason slate.
 
The four-day competition is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 7, and run through Saturday, May 10. All championship contests from Amanda Littlejohn Stadium in Buies Creek, N.C., will be streamed live on FloCollege.
 
The Blue Hens finished the season with a 37-14 overall record and a 23-4 mark in league action. Offensively, Delaware has swung a hot bat all season with a league-best .320 team batting average and a program-record 54 home runs. The regular season champs will see their first action on Thursday, May 8, as they will await the winner of game 1.
 
After a thrilling final day of action, Elon earned the second seed and a first-round bye along with the Blue Hens. The Phoenix secured its position with a 6-1 victory over Campbell on Saturday, seeing a complete-game victory from McKenna McCard. Elon will also see its first set of competition on May 8.
 
Third-seeded Charleston broke the tiebreaker with Campbell after earning a series win over the Camels. The Cougars will take on No. 6 Hofstra, who clinched its spot in the CAA Championship with a 4-1 win over Monmouth on Friday afternoon. Charleston and the Pride will square off in the second game on May 7, with first pitch slated for approximately 2:30 p.m.
 
The Camels will carry the No. 4 seed ahead of their name on Wednesday, slated to take on fifth-seeded Stony Brook in the opening contest on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.

Game 1: No. 4 Campbell vs. No. 5 Stony Brook - 12 p.m.
Game 2: No. 3 Charleston vs. No. 6 Hofstra - 2:30 p.m.
Game 3: Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2 - 5 p.m.
 
Thursday, May 8
Game 4: No. 1 Delaware vs. Winner of Game 1 - 12 p.m.
Game 5: No. 2 Elon vs. Winner of Game 2 - 2:30 p.m.
Game 6: Winner of Game 3 vs. Lower Seed of Games 4 & 5 Losers - 5 p.m.
 
Friday, May 9
Game 7:  Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5 - 12 p.m.
Game 8: Winner of Game 6 vs. Higher Seed Games 4 & 5 Losers - 2:30 p.m.
Game 9: Winner of Game 8 vs. Loser of Game 7 - 5 p.m.
 
Saturday, May 10
Game 10: Winner of Game 7 vs. Winner of Game 9 - 12 p.m.
Game 11: If Necessary - 2:30 p.m.
