RICHMOND, Va. (May 9, 2025) – UNCW senior
Harold Huens earned CAA Men’s Tennis Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season, headlining the group of 2025 postseason award winners voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Delaware freshman
Piotr Siekanowicz was chosen as the CAA Rookie of the Year and UNCW’s
Mait DuBois received CAA Coach of the Year accolades for the 11

Huens put together an impressive 11-3 record at the No. 1 singles spot for UNCW, which included ending the season on a seven-match winning streak. He became the 14
th player in program history to reach 50 career victories during the semifinals of the CAA Tournament. He also tallied eight wins in doubles this season. Huens is the first Seahawk to receive back-to-back CAA Player of the Year accolades since Rafael Aita in 2013 and 2014.
Siekanowicz compiled a 12-12 overall mark in singles while playing at the top spot in the lineup for Delaware. The freshman also contributed 14 wins in doubles, including a 9-6 record at the No. 1 position while playing with Euan Mackenzie. Siekanowicz is only the second Delaware player to receive Rookie of the Year honors, joining Luis Molina in 2019.
DuBois takes home his fifth consecutive Coach of the Year award after guiding UNCW to a 12-8 overall record and its fifth straight CAA title and 11
th overall after topping Elon, 4-2 in the finals. The Seahawks, who are ranked No. 65 nationally, advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 12
