UAlbany, Bryant To Join CAA As Associate Members In Women's Rowing

RICHMOND, Va. (August 27, 2025) – CAA Commissioner Joe D’Antonio announced today that the conference has added the University at Albany and Bryant University as associate members in the sport of women’s rowing beginning with the 2025-26 season.
UAlbany and Bryant join UC San Diego, UConn, Drexel, Monmouth, Northeastern and Villanova to give the CAA eight members for the upcoming season.
UAlbany begins its second season of competition in 2025-26 after taking part in four regattas last spring. The Great Danes closed the year last May at the always competitive Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta.
Bryant enters its fourth season of competition in 2025-26. The Bulldogs also capped their 2025 season at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, where its Second Varsity 4 boat reached the Grand Final and placed third.
The 2026 CAA Rowing Championship will be held May 15-16 on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. with the winning team receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Rowing Championship. Northeastern has captured the past 11 conference titles.
