RICHMOND, Va. (January 27, 2026) – Drexel swept both CAA swimming weekly awards as senior Sebastian Smith was named Men’s Swimmer of the Week and sophomore Brittany Corbett was chosen as the Women’s Swimmer of the Week. Towson received both diving honors as senior Sam Tennell was named the Men’s Diver of the Week and senior Shannon Parrau was tabbed as the Women’s Diver of the Week.                                                                      

CAA Men's Swimmer of the Week
Sebastian Smith, Sr., Drexel (Wappingers, N.Y.)

Smith posted three individual victories and added a relay win to help Drexel defeat Towson, 176.5-123.5 last weekend. The senior touched the wall first in the 50 free (20.18), the 100 free (43.83) and the 100 fly (47.45) with times that rank among the top six in the CAA in all three events. He was also part of the Dragons’ first-place 200 medley relay team.

CAA Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Brittany Corbett, So., Drexel (Croton on Hudson, N.Y.)
Corbett delivered three individual wins to help Drexel battle past Towson, 153-147, last Saturday. The sophomore set a school record in the 1,000 free with a time of 10:01.13, which is the second-fastest in the CAA this season. She added victories in the 200 fly (2:05.55) and 500 free (4:53.05).

CAA Men’s Diver of the Week
Sam Tennell, Sr., Towson (Buford, Ga.)
Tennell tallied a pair of top two finishes in Towson’s meet at Drexel last Saturday. The senior took the top spot on the 3-meter board with a score of 320.48 and was the runner-up in the 3-meter competition with a score of 307.05. He was the only diver to eclipse 300 points on both boards.

CAA Women’s Diver of the Week
Shannon Parrau, Sr., Towson (Germantown, Md.)
Parrau turned in another impressive effort in Towson’s competition at Drexel, sweeping both boards. The senior finished first on the 3-meter board with a score of 327.68 and captured the 1-meter competition with a score of 279.83.
