CAA Men’s Soccer Weekly Awards – Oct. 12, 2026
RICHMOND, Va. -- UNCW’s Cameron Keay was named the CAA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Stony Brook’s Heidar Hermannsson earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. William & Mary freshman Aidan Gatchell rounded out the weekly awards, earning Rookie of the Week recognition on Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Cameron Keay, UNCW

Keay recorded eight points on three goals and two assists as UNCW went 2-0 on the week. The freshman tallied one goal and one assist against Winthrop, setting up Lucas Siikala before netting the game-winner in the 57th minute to lift the Seahawks past the Eagles, 3-2. Keay followed up with a five-point performance in UNCW’s 4-1 triumph over Campbell. The Scotland product found the back of the net twice in the span of 2:01, with strikes in the 75th and 77th minutes. Keay also provided an assist on Kristjan Kristjansson’s opening goal.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Heidar Hermannsson, Stony Brook

Hermannsson recorded a shutout in Stony Brook’s 2-0 win at George Mason on Sunday. The Reykjavik, Iceland, native recorded two saves across 90 minutes to help the Seawolves secure the victory in their lone contest of the week.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Aidan Gatchell, William & Mary

Gatchell recorded a career-high five points, two goals and one assist, in William & Mary’s 4-0 win over Howard on Thursday. The freshman scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 18th minute before adding his second in the 70th minute. The East Greenbush, N.Y., native also helped set up Brown Huffard for the game’s second goal in the 59th minute.
