Grace Oristian secured CAA Men’s and Women’s Golfer of the Week honors, respectively, on Wednesday.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Patrick Scenna, Monmouth
Junior | Manasquan, N.J.
Scenna posted his sixth-place finish with a 3-over 219 at the Wykagyl Collegiate, hosted by Iona. After battling through a 1-over 73 in the opening round, the junior settled in and countered with a 1-under 71, draining four birdies. The Manasquan, N.J., product closed out the event with a 3-over and sat three strokes off the co-winners, Iona's Paddy Blinderman and St. Thomas Aquinas' Max Gibbs.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Grace Oristian, Towson
Senior | North Potomac, Md.
Oristian battled through chilly conditions to earn a top-three finish at the Lehigh Invitational. Despite a difficult opening round, the senior out of North Potomac, Md., managed to keep herself within two strokes of the eventual individual medalist, Lehigh’s Reese Hannon, who finished at 7-over. Oristian shot a 2-over in the final round and sank three birdies to post a 9-over for the tournament.
