Drexel 63, William & Mary 61

Deja Evans’ layup with seven seconds to play capped a big Drexel comeback and gave the Dragons (17-8, 10-4 CAA) a 63-61 road victory at William & Mary (13-12, 6-8 CAA). Evans finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four blocks and Amaris Baker also tallied 16 points for the Dragons. W&M got 22 points from Cassidy Geddes, who drained five treys.

The Tribe used a strong second quarter to take a 32-23 lead into halftime. W&M increased the margin to 14 (42-31) on an Alexa Mikeska three-pointer with 7:23 left in the third period. Drexel trailed by six with 6:26 left in the game when it reeled off nine consecutive points and took a 61-58 advantage on a pair of Grace O’Neill free throws with 16 seconds on the clock. The Tribe drew even on three Geddes free throws, but the Dragons responded with the game-winning bucket as Evans converted a layup off a Julia Garcia Roig assist. Geddes saw a game-winning 3-point attempt bounce off the rim at the buzzer.

Hofstra 75, UNCW 43

Micaela Carter went 5-of-8 from 3-point range and scored a career-high 23 points as Hofstra (6-19, 4-10) rolled past UNCW (6-20, 2-13 CAA). Ema Karim added 12 points and Sana’a Garrett had 11 for the Pride, which shot 50% from the floor. The Seahawks were paced by Kylah Silver with 15 points.

Hofstra jumped out to a 10-point lead in the opening quarter and expanded it to 39-18 at the half. The Pride continued the momentum out of halftime, scoring the first 18 points in the third quarter to go up 57-18 on a Nevaeh Brown jumper. Hofstra’s defense limited UNCW to 27.3% FG shooting and forced 18 turnovers.

Monmouth 64, Hampton 57

A 22-5 second quarter proved to be the difference as Monmouth (18-8, 11-4 CAA) picked up a 64-57 road win at Hampton (9-17, 3-11 CAA). GiGi Gamble tallied 21 points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Hawks and Divine Dibula chipped in 20 points. The Pirates got a team-high 19 points from Aisha Dabo.

Hampton held a narrow 15-13 advantage after the opening quarter, but Gamble drained a pair of treys as part of a 10-0 Monmouth run to open the second period. The Hawks stayed hot and pushed their advantage to 35-20 at the half. Monmouth was up by 21 early in the third period before Hampton began to battle back. The Pirates consistently trimmed the deficit and closed within 61-57 on a Le’Asia Foreman jumper with 30 seconds to play, but Dibula stemmed the tide with a pair of free throws.

Towson 73, Stony Brook 67

India Johnston poured in a team-high 25 points as Towson (15-12, 8-7 CAA) knocked off Stony Brook (15-12, 10-4 CAA), 73-67. Tilda Sjokvist hit 3-of-4 treys and added 11 points for the Tigers, who shot 42.9% (9-21) from beyond the arc. Diaka Berete led a balanced scoring effort for the Seawolves with 14 points and Janay Brantley chipped in 13 points.

Stony Brook sprinted out to a 21-11 lead in the first quarter, but Towson flipped the script in the second period and took a 31-29 edge into halftime. The Tigers stayed ahead throughout the third period, pushing ahead, 56-45, on a Viki Matulevicius layup with 2:17 to go. However, the Seawolves caught fire, reeling off the final seven points of the third quarter and the first six of the fourth to go on top, 58-56, on a Sandra Frau-Garcia layup. Johnston nailed a three to put the Tigers back ahead, and they never relinquished the lead. Towson was still up by only one in the final minute, but Johnson delivered a jumper with 29 seconds to go and sealed the victory with a pair of free throws.

Elon 70, Northeastern 57

Elon (13-13, 8-6 CAA) got 41 points from its reserves and earned a 70-57 victory over Northeastern (7-18, 3-12 CAA). Quinzia Fulmore scored a team-best 12 points off the bench while fellow reserves Ashanti Fox and Kamryn Doty added 11 points. The Huskies were paced by Justice Tramble with 12 points.

The game was tight throughout most of the first half, but Elon closed the second period on a 7-0 run that included five points from Tyana Walker to take a 33-25 edge into halftime. The Phoenix extended its advantage to 19 points in the third quarter and maintained a double-digit cushion in the final period. Elon shot an impressive 49.1% from the floor, with Fulmore going 6-for-6 and Doty making 4-of-5, including three treys.
