CAA Men's And Women's Tennis Weekly Awards - Feb. 3

RICHMOND, Va. (February 3, 2026) – After posting 2-0 records in singles and doubles, Drexel senior Tarek Mo Erlewein was chosen as the CAA Men’s Tennis Player of the Week and Stony Brook freshman Laura Ozola was selected as the CAA Women’s Tennis Player of the Week. The Monmouth tandem of Jakob Bonnett and Louis Keller received Men’s Doubles Team of the Week honors and the Drexel duo of Adva Dabah and Lorie Lemongo picked Women’s Doubles Team of the Week accolades.
CAA Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Tarek Mo Erlewein, Sr., Drexel (Stuhr, Lower Saxony Germany)
Erlewein went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles last week to lead Drexel to victories over Morgan State (7-0) and Villanova (7-0). In singles, he cruised past MSU’s Rhajzon Rankins, 6-0, 6-2, and topped VU’s Cooper Gordon, 6-1, 6-2 to improve to 3-0 on the season. He also teamed up with Will Burridge at No. 1 doubles for a 6-2 win against MSU and a 6-3 triumph over VU.
CAA Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Laura Ozola, Fr., Stony Brook (Riga, Latvia)
Ozola posted a 2-0 record in singles and doubles as Stony Brook split a pair of matches last week. Playing at No. 5 singles, the freshman defeated Army’s Allison Harris, 6-2, 7-5, in a narrow 4-3 setback and followed by rallying past Monmouth’s Becky Fisher, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, as the Seawolves won their CAA opener, 6-1. Ozola also helped SBU claim the doubles point in both matches, combining with Mila Charles for a 6-3 win against Army and a 6-2 win versus Monmouth at the No. 3 slot.
CAA Men’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
Jakob Bonnett, So., Monmouth (Oundle, United Kingdom)
Louis Keller, Gr., Monmouth (Saint Maur des Fosses, France)
Bonnett and Keller played a key role in helping Monmouth battle past defending MAAC champion Quinnipiac, 5-2, in its opening match of the spring. Competing at the No. 2 slot, the duo defeated QU’s Finn Burridge and Elias Hoxha, 6-4. They also came up big in singles with Keller rolling to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 and Bonnett delivering a 7-5, 6-4 victory at No. 2.
CAA Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
Adva Dabah, Sr., Drexel (Mazliah, Israel)
Lorie Lemongo, Gr., Drexel (Yaounde, Cameroon)
Dabah and Lemongo helped Drexel earn the doubles point in both matches last week. Playing at the No. 1 position, the Dragons duo edged Penn’s Joleen Saw and Esha Velaga, 7-5, to pick up the lone point in a 5-1 setback to the Quakers. In a 5-2 team victory over Lehigh, Dabah and Lemongo downed Maggie Forkner and Hannah Letzer, 7-5, before adding two more wins in singles.
