CAA Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards – Feb. 9, 2026

RICHMOND, Va. (Feb. 9, 2026) –Monmouth attacker Ty Caffarelli, Drexel goalkeeper Brendan Donnelly, and Fairfield midfielder Luke Patchen are the CAA men’s lacrosse weekly award winners for the week ending on February 8. 
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
Ty Caffarelli, Monmouth
Senior | Attack | Newport Beach, Ca. / Corona Del Mar
Caffarelli set a program single-game scoring record in a 15-9 win over Manhattan. The Preseason All-CAA selection netted seven goals on a game-high 12 shots with 10 falling on goal. Caffarelli dominated throughout, getting most of his tally between the first and second quarters. The senior attacker had his most efficient stretch between the first and second frames. In less than six minutes, Caffarelli went on a solo 4-1 run, extending the Hawks’ lead to 9-3.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brendan Donnelly, Drexel
Junior | Goalkeeper | Audubon, Pa. / Germantown Academy
Donnelly shone in Drexel’s season opener, posting a career-high save total to earn the Dragons an 11-1 win over Delaware. The junior shot stopper recorded 14 saves in Drexel’s first victory over the Blue Hens since 2021. Restricting Delaware to one goal, Donnelly tallied his career-low against an opponent, while helping Drexel reach the feat for the first time since April 5, 2025.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Luke Patchen, Fairfield
Freshman | Midfield | Fayetteville, N.Y. / Jamesville-DeWitt
Patchen was efficient in his collegiate debut, helping the Stags earn a 14-13 double-overtime win over Lehigh. With the Mountain Hawks within reach, the freshman midfielder hit the back of the cage in the second quarter to push Fairfield ahead by three. Patchen also scored midway through the third quarter.
