Elon's Kack Receives Top Honor On 2026 All-CAA Women's Tennis Team

RICHMOND, Va. (May 1, 2026) – Elon sophomore
Cornelia Kack was selected as the 2026 CAA Women’s Tennis Player of the Year in voting by the league’s head coaches as the conference announced its postseason awards.

Rebeka Svabikova was chosen as the CAA Rookie of the Year and Elon’s
Elizabeth Anderson received CAA Coach of the Year accolades for the third time.
Kack compiled a 21-5 singles record, including a 13-3 mark in dual matches. The sophomore was 7-2 at the No. 2 position before moving up to No. 1, where she captured six of her seven matches. She also excelled in doubles with partner Lisa Kranec, with the duo putting together a sparkling 14-1 record at the No. 3 slot. Kack is the second straight Elon player to receive CAA Player of the Year honors, joining teammate Simone Bergeron.
Svabikova had an outstanding first season, posting a 19-9 overall singles mark, including a 14-5 mark in dual matches. Playing mostly at the No. 5 position where she was 10-3, the freshman closed the season by winning eight of her final nine matches. Svabikova is the first Tribe player to be honored as the Rookie of the Year since 2022.
Anderson guided Elon to a 16-4 overall record and its second straight CAA title following a thrilling 4-3 triumph over William & Mary. The Phoenix, which captured nine of their final 10 matches, are currently ranked #74 nationally and are set to make a return trip to the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship this weekend. Anderson previously received CAA Coach of the Year honors in 2016 and 2025.
