CAA Men’s Soccer Weekly Awards - Aug. 31, 2026
RICHMOND, Va. -- Charleston's Stian Bendvold was named the CAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while UNCW's Alex Kron earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. William & Mary's Brown Huffard rounded out the Week Two honors, earning Rookie of the Week recognition on Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Stian Bendvold, Charleston
Jr. | M/ F | Begby, Norway
Bendvold recorded three points with a goal and an assist in the Cougars' 2-1 conference win over Campbell. Bendvold opened the scoring in the 14th minute before assisting on the game-winning goal in the 37th minute.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alex Kron, UNCW
R-Jr. | GK | Louisville, Ky.
Kron recorded a career-high eight saves to help the Seahawks earn a 0-0 draw against Furman. Kron made eight stops across 90 minutes of work to secure his first shutout of the season and keep UNCW unbeaten on the season.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Brown Huffard, William & Mary
Fr. | F | McLean, Va.
Huffard scored the Tribe's lone goal in a 1-1 draw at Elon in their CAA opener. The freshman found the back of the net just 1:35 into the match and finished with both of his two shot attempts being put on goal in his 76 minutes of action.
