CAA Football Weekly Awards - Sept. 21

RICHMOND, Va. (September 21, 2026) – CAA Football has announced its weekly award winners for Week 3 of the 2026 season. Stony Brook redshirt sophomore quarterback Quinn Boyd and Campbell senior quarterback Kamden Sixkiller shared Offensive Player of the Week accolades while Elon redshirt junior linebacker Brodie Carroll received Defensive Player of the Week honors. Bryant senior defensive lineman Gustavo Bravo was named the Special Teams Player of the Week and Elon redshirt freshman quarterback Elijah Guttman was chosen as the Rookie of the Week.
CAA Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Quinn Boyd, R-So., QB, Stony Brook (Livermore, Calif./Granada)
Boyd accounted for 351 yards of offense as Stony Brook knocked off No. 8 Rhode Island, 56-24, ending URI’s 11-game CAA winning streak. The quarterback rushed for a career-high 153 yards on 14 carries and was 17-of-24 passing for 198 yards and a TD as the Seawolves piled up 519 total yards and beat a Top 10 foe for the first time since 2019.
CAA Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Kamden Sixkiller, Sr., QB, Campbell (Norman, Okla./Norman)
Sixkiller tallied the top completion percentage (92%) in FCS this season, hitting 23-of-25 passes for 341 yards and a season-high four touchdowns in Campbell’s 42-14 victory over North Carolina A&T. The senior fired three TD passes in the first half and another early in the third quarter as the Camels built a 35-7 lead. He has thrown for at least 330 yards against all three FCS opponents.
CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week
Brodie Carroll, R-Jr., LB, Elon (Haymarket, Va./Battlefield)
Carroll recorded a career-high 16 tackles (11 solo), a sack and two pass breakups as Elon edged Sacred Heart, 24-21. The 16 stops are the most by a CAA player this season and the most by an Elon player since 2021. Carroll had three tackles and a PBU on the Pioneers’ final drive of the game as the Phoenix held SHU to 310 total yards.
CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Gustavo Bravo, Sr., DL, Bryant (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay)
Bravo recorded his first career blocked field goal on the final play of the first half to provide momentum in Bryant’s 21-14 triumph over Princeton. The senior deflected a 32-yard field goal attempt that kept the contest tied at 7-7 going into the break. He also contributed five tackles as the Bulldogs moved to 3-1 for the first time since 2018.
CAA Football Rookie of the Week
Elijah Guttman, R-Fr., QB, Elon (Cincinnati, Ohio/Cincinnati Country Day School)
Making his first career start, Guttman accounted for 152 yards of offense and all three touchdowns in Elon’s 24-21 win over Sacred Heart. In less than three quarters of action, the redshirt freshman was 12-of-19 passing for 142 yards, including a 19-yard TD throw, and added scoring runs of five and 10 yards.
