Campbell Joins Rhode Island In Latest FCS Top 25 Rankings

RICHMOND, Va. (September 21, 2026) – Campbell was ranked in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 poll for the first time in school history on Monday, joining Rhode Island as the latest Stats and AFCA rankings were released. Four other CAA Football teams received votes.

Rhode Island (2-2) fell to No. 19 in the Stats poll and No. 21 in the AFCA poll following a 56-24 setback at Stony Brook. The Rams are back on the road this Saturday at North Carolina A&T.

Campbell (3-1) moved into the Stats poll at No. 22 and received votes in the AFCA rankings after a 42-14 victory over North Carolina A&T. The Camels, who are off to their best start since 2019, travel to Hampton on Saturday.

Elon (3-1), Stony Brook (2-2) and Monmouth (2-2) received votes in both the Stats and AFCA polls. The Phoenix battled past Sacred Heart, 24-21, last week and will host Maine on Saturday. The Seawolves knocked off No. 8 Rhode Island. 56-24, last Saturday and will make the short trip to Fordham this week. The Hawks held off UAlbany, 28-20, last Saturday and will head to Dartmouth on Saturday.

Bryant (3-1) received votes in the AFCA rankings. The Hawks, who defeated Princeton, 21-14, last Saturday, are off this week.

FCS Nation Radio had three CAA teams in its Top 25 with Campbell at No. 20, Stony Brook at No. 21 and Rhode Island at No. 22, while Redshirt Sports had Campbell at No. 20 and Rhode Island at No. 24.
