Baseball | Schedule
With the weather warming up, eight of the CAA’s 12 teams play home series this weekend. Towson (vs. Yale) and Stony Brook (vs. Siena) have their home openers. All four road teams face tough tests as Northeastern (at Old Dominion), Hofstra (at St. John’s) and North Carolina A&T (at South Florida) take on opponents ranked in the top 100 of the RPI and Monmouth visits defending A-10 champ George Mason.
Softball | Schedule
Conference play has arrived in CAA Softball! There are six three-game league series on the docket this weekend, headlined by a 2023 CAA Championship game rematch. Towson entertains Hofstra Friday through Sunday, with the series opener on FloSoftball. The Tigers and Pride played six times last season, each winning three times. Towson won the regular season series 2-1 and knocked Hofstra into the loser’s bracket of the conference tournament before the Pride won back-to-back contests to claim the 2023 CAA title. In addition, Delaware hosts Charleston, and Elon entertains North Carolina A&T in a pair of series featuring conference tournament teams from last spring. The Cougars took two of three from Delaware last season to earn its first series win over the Blue Hens since 2018, while Elon swept the Aggies, improving to 50-10 all-time against A&T. Finally, Campbell makes its CAA debut by visiting Stony Brook. It will be the first-ever meeting between the softball programs.
Women’s Lacrosse | Schedule
After a pair of top-25 wins in the midweek – one-goal wins for No. 12 Stony Brook at No. 5 Syracuse and Drexel at No. 16 Navy – a busy wraparound weekend follows. Single games Thursday and Friday are followed by a Saturday slate highlighted by No. 14 Penn visiting William & Mary, Towson heading over to No. 7 Loyola (12 p.m., ESPN+), a matchup of teams receiving votes as Drexel visits Fairfield, and No. 12 Stony Brook taking on No. 15 Johns Hopkins (4 p.m., ESPN+) in Charlotte. The Seawolves will follow with a Monday matinee at home against No. 10 Denver (12 p.m., FloLive).
Men’s Lacrosse | Schedule
For the second straight weekend, there will be a conference clash in CAA Men’s Lacrosse, and two teams will face nationally ranked adversaries. Saturday begins at 11 a.m. with Monmouth hosting Delaware in league play. The Blue Hens look to bounce back from consecutive setbacks and improve to 7-0 all-time versus the Hawks. Additionally, Towson and Hofstra will host top-20 opponents. The Tigers entertain No. 5 Virginia at noon – which will be the CAA Game of the Week on Lacrosse TV – and the Pride welcome No. 18 North Carolina to Long Island at 1 p.m. (FloLive).
Rowing | Schedule
Two CAA crews will hit the water to open the 2024 women’s rowing season this weekend. Delaware begins the spring on the Schuylkill River with a dual meet against Saint Joseph’s, and UCSD opens the year with a dual meet against LMU on Mission Bay.
Tennis | Schedule
There are a handful of conference matches on the weekend slate in tennis. On the women’s side, Charleston hosts Campbell on Friday and Hofstra visits Towson on Saturday. In men’s action. Hampton entertains Campbell on Thursday and Drexel heads to William & Mary on Sunday. Also on Sunday, North Carolina A&T takes on 4
th-ranked Wake Forest.
Golf | Schedule
In women’s action, Charleston will host the Briar’s Creek Invitational with Campbell in attendance, Hofstra opens its season against Adelphi, Monmouth plays a pair of events in Florida to open its spring slate, and N.C. A&T plays at Tulane.
On the men’s side, Delaware and N.C. A&T will play The Surf Club Invitational in Myrtle Beach, Drexel is in The Peoples Golf Championship at Sea Palms, Elon and UNCW are in Auburn’s Tiger Invitational, Monmouth begins the spring at Sacred Heart’s event in Florida, Towson starts the spring in Southern Pines, N.C., and is joined by William & Mary at the Ross Collegiate Classic.
