CAA Football Countdown To Kickoff - William & Mary

Our CAA Football Countdown To Kickoff resumes with a look at the William & Mary Tribe. William & Mary posted a 7-5 overall record (4-4 CAA) in 2024, giving the program four consecutive winning seasons for the first time in 25 years.
W&M, which led the CAA in rushing (232.1 ypg) last season, returns an experienced offensive line led by Ryan McKenna, but will have a number of new starters at the skill positions. Tyler Hughes is expected to take over at quarterback, with transfers Tariq Sims and Rashad Raymond slotted to move into major roles at running back. The Tribe welcomes back tight ends Trey McDonald and Sean McElwain along with receiver Carson Jenkins.
Leading the defense is All-America cornerback Jalen Jones, who led FCS with 22 passes defended in 2024. There are also a number of returnees up front, topped by Davin Dzidzienyo and Ty Gordon, while transfer linebacker Luke Banbury should make a big impact.
