CAA Football Countdown To Kickoff - Villanova

We conclude our CAA Football Countdown To Kickoff series with a look at the Villanova Wildcats. Villanova is coming off a 10-4 season (6-2 CAA) which resulted in its fourth FCS playoff appearance in six years.
Villanova should be able to rely on a powerful rushing attack offensively as running backs David Avit (173 att, 923 yds, 9 TD's) and Isaiah Ragland (105 att, 511 yds, 4 TD's) return behind a veteran offensive line led by All-American Jake Picard. Returnee Tanner Maddocks and transfer Pat McQuaide are battling to replace Connor Watkins at quarterback.
There are plenty of familiar faces back from the front seven of the Wildcats' nationally ranked defense. All-America linebacker Shane Hartzell (121 tackles) is flanked by Richie Kimmel (72 tackles), while the defensive line is led by preseason All-CAA selection Obinna Nwobodo (40 tackles).
